Direct Service Workforce Investment Grant

FSSA (Family Social Services Administration) is issuing Vitality Senior Services, LLC dba The Mansion on Main funding to support our direct service workforce. Vitality Senior Services, LLC dba The Mansion on Main was granted with $174,000 with 95% of that amount going directly back to our valued Direct Service Workforce. We plan to use the funding in the following 3 ways to invest in our DSWs:
- 2023 Bonus Program: To provide immediate and recurring support to our workforce, we plan to issue bonuses to DSWs. We will dedicate 90% of the grant amount toward this activity. We will issue the bonuses in two installments for eligible employees: March and December. Employees can expect to receive the funding along with regular payroll processing.
- Overnight/PM Shift Differential Increase: As part of our long-term strategy, we will be increasing the shift differential for our overnight/PM Nursing staff DSWs. We will dedicate 2% of the grant amount towards this activity. The shift differential increase will be issued based on current shift differential rate and will be implemented in March.
- Departmental Rate of Pay Increase: As part of our long-term strategy, we will be increasing the hourly rate of pay for some our Direct Service Workers, in particular the essential Environmental Services employees. We will dedicate 3% of the grant amount towards this activity. A flat rate of pay increase for the department will be implemented in March 2023 to our EVS department.
- Company-wide TMOM shirts: We will issue each DSW 2 new TMOM shirts, to be ordered and dispersed in March.
Timing wise, our goal is to use the funding as soon as possible so that we can provide immediate funding to support our workforce. We are required to spend all funding by December 31, 2023. Please reach out to Peter Hastings, Executive Director, with any questions regarding how the funds will be spent.
